What are ModelRiver templates, and how do I use one?
Templates are ready-made workflows for common business tasks. Each one includes the workflows, the structured output (the JSON your app gets back) and, where it helps, backend steps. You pick your providers and models, download it, and import it into a project in a few clicks.
Which templates are available?#
13 today, including:
- Support Ticket Triage
- Refund & Order Support
- FAQ & Knowledge Assistant
- Session Memory Chatbot
- Lead Qualification & Follow-up
- Order Status & Tracking Assistant
- Content Moderation Classifier
- Billing & Invoice Assistant
- Booking & Appointment Intake
Browse them all on the templates page.
How do I use one?#
- Open a template and choose your primary and backup providers and models. The download is customized to your choice.
- Download the JSON file.
- In your project, connect the providers the template uses.
- Click Import, upload or paste the file, review the preview and confirm.
Will importing overwrite my existing workflows?#
No. An import only creates new items and never overwrites what's already in your project. Everything is created together, or nothing is if there's a problem.
Can I change a template after importing?#
Yes. It becomes an ordinary workflow you own. Edit the prompt, schema or models, then publish. Each template also has an integration guide showing how to call it from your app.
Can I share my own workflows the same way?#
Yes. Export workflows as a JSON bundle and import them into another project or account.
