Can I brand Desk and add the chat to my website?

Updated

Yes. Set your brand name, colors, fonts and logo, and embed the chat widget on any site you choose. Your help center and widget then look like part of your product.

How do I change the look?#

Branding lives in support.config.json: brand name, colors, fonts and an optional logo. Restart Desk after editing it. Help articles and notes are edited in Dashboard → Knowledge, where changes go live without a restart. If you edit the Markdown files on disk instead, restart Desk to pick them up.

How do I put the chat on my website?#

The widget is served at /widget on your Desk. Embed it on your site, then list the sites allowed to show it in WIDGET_FRAME_ANCESTORS. Only those sites can embed your chat.

Can visitors who are already signed in skip email verification?#

Yes. Your site can pass a signed identity token for a visitor who's signed in to your product. Desk trusts it in place of the email code, so account lookups work straight away. The README shows how to sign the token.

Can I organize my help center into sections?#

Yes. Folders become sections and subfolders become subsections, with their own titles, descriptions and icons. Articles can be saved as drafts and published when ready.

Can I connect it to my own systems?#

Yes. Besides Shopify, Stripe and Cal.com, the Custom HTTP connector lets the assistant read up to 20 facts about a visitor from your own API, like plan, usage or account status.
